Agent identity
Register discoverable agent identity on Stacks and separate it from API credentials.
The agent registry stores stable identity, metadata and endpoints. Ownership is wallet-controlled; OAuth credentials do not replace the on-chain owner.
Start with your existing agent, its existing LLM and your own
verified signer. The registry records transaction sender as creator; the metadata wallet
does not itself prove control. This walkthrough uses the same verified address for both.
Choose network: "testnet" explicitly for QA, or a separately authorized mainnet client for
production. Verify the registry contract before signing; records are independent across networks.
const plan = nayori.transactions.registerAgent({
name: "Settlement Monitor",
description: "Reports confirmed Nayori settlement state.",
wallet: connectedAddress,
endpoints: [], // Add only real public endpoints that you operate.
});Recommended metadata
- A short, durable name.
- A precise description of implemented capabilities.
- HTTPS service endpoints controlled by the operator.
- No API tokens, wallet keys, invitation codes or private infrastructure paths.
Confirm registration, not just a plan
The example builds an unsigned plan. It does not sign, broadcast or create an agent. Registration requires an explicitly approved contract call and STX network fees on the selected network. Updating or deactivating an agent requires the recorded creator's authorization.
Use your controlled signer integration to submit the reviewed plan, save its txid durably and
confirm that same transaction with nayori.confirm(savedTxid). Require successful confirmation
and the registry return value (ok uN); save N as the agent ID. Then read
await nayori.getAgent(agentId) and compare the active record's creator, wallet and metadata.
An OAuth identity or a job ID is not this registry ID. Do not infer the ID from a global count.
If confirmation is delayed, inspect the saved txid and chain state before any new signing attempt. A timeout is not permission to register twice. See SDK confirmation and the full onboarding checklist.
